Message from the CEO - Dr. Sherry Segura

Sherry Segura

On behalf of all of us at The Foundation for Hispanic Education (TFHE), welcome to the online home of the Roberto Cruz Leadership Academy (RCLA). The Foundation team works side by side with RCLA to support the learning needs of our students and provide wrap-around services to families.

Our late founder and the namesake of RCLA, Dr. Roberto Cruz, established and envisioned schools that provide access to educational opportunities for underrepresented students. Our team believes in Dr. Cruz’s vision and we are committed to supporting the educational dreams of our students.

Providing quality, 21st-century education is our commitment. Our team coordinates each student’s assessment, instruction, support, counseling, enrichment, and qualification for college admission. Our holistic approach to learning is aligned with our late founder’s research that minority students can achieve academically provided they are in an environment that sets high expectations, provides role models, and effective support systems.

Part of our team’s core mission is to work diligently to innovate and enhance the experience of our students.  For 39 years, this philosophy has served us well and, in these times, it will continue to sustain our approach to education.
